It is both undemocratic and disrespectful if they ignore the first and go for a second try... that's fine. I knew you wouldn't answer it :-)
It's still a false premise: how does a change in leader, a new general election, and three years of political deadlock during which essentially all of the rest of the business of government has been squeezed out of all functionality count as "ignoring" the referendum? It's a nonsense.

We have not left the EU let, it is true, but the "why" is far more about how difficult it is to achieve the objective than you are giving it credit for. I'm happy to answer any questions put to me, but if I think the questions are based on what I see as false premises then I have little option but to say so as part of my answer.
//I knew you wouldn't answer it //

I knew he wouldn't answer it too, Pixie.
As you said, the referendum response was clearly to "leave". Not only have we not done that, it is being extended and extended... and now suggestions we should try again with another. You personally might not agree, but it was a straightforward vote.
Just a touch of integrity would be nice on occasions, naomi. A little honesty... worth a try anyway x
Oh, stop this nonsense about my having no integrity or honesty. Completely wrong.
Jim, we can only speak as we find.
You keep looking for the wrong thing you are bound to find it. But it's still wrong.
Just observation from your posts. You may be very different in real life, I know.
I never looked for it- I never do. I used to have a lot of respect, admiration and affection for you.
Even if you're referring to my posts you're still wrong.
I'm glad you said so, Pixie. I'm obviously sad that you no longer find it true, but I can only repeat and defend my views all the same.
Righto. It was an uncomfortable conclusion that I came to. That has never happened before.
I can't speak for Pixie, Jim, but you've lost all credibility for me.
You are speaking for me too... I find it genuinely sad.
Me too, Pixie.
Well, I'm sorry you both feel that way, but it doesn't change anything. And now that you've both said it there's clearly no need to say the same thing again, you've made your points about how you perceive me.

It still ends up at the same problem, though, namely: it's all very well repeating this stuff about "ignoring the referendum", but it is in the first place manifestly untrue and in the second place hopelessly lacking in detail. Unless someone can come up with a reasonable solution as to *how* to change the situation in your favour -- which is to say, a way of honouring the referendum that doesn't also wreck the economy or kill any claims to sovereignty -- then all the integrity in the world counts for nothing.
Leaving the EU with no deal will NOT 'wreck' the economy.

Oh ye of little faith, nor financial understanding.

You lost jim, all this is caused by you lot wanting your own way.
jim, I'm sure Anna Soubry will sleep better knowing she has at least one fan. Umna faces de-selection in his own constituency and the other Tiggers no one had ever heard of.
Thankfully, I am not paid to sort out the "how". We were asked and have given an answer. If MPs are going to make promises which include asking the entire country, they should have a plan to deliver it. They didn't get the answer they expected or wanted. Tough.
