I have just received a leaflet from UNITE the union setting out what Labour will do, if they are elected.
What they don't say is, where are they going to get the money from to fund these following pledges?

REBUILDING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES.

/// Labour will not just end the cuts but also ensure our public services are properly funded, bring privatised services back into public hands and invest £250 billion in rebuilding our country. ///

REAL ACTION TO TACKLE THE HOUSING CRISIS.

/// Labour will build at least a million new homes, with half of them council homes, introduce private rent controls to stop spiralling costs and take action to end homelessness. ///

EDUCATION FOR ALL.

/// Labour will end the cuts to school budgets, provide free school meals for all primary-age children, get class sizes to under 30 for all 5, 6 and 7 year olds and provide quality apprenticeships.

SAFE COMMUNITIES.

/// An extra 10,000 police officers on our streets and safeguarding our youth services. ///

ENDING THE COST OF LIVING CRISIS.

/// A £10 an hour minimum wage for all, scrapping the public sector pay cap and stopping the roll out of Universal Credit. ///
LEN Mc CLUSKEY
General Secretary.

By running the country into massive debt, as they have done in the past.

Magic Money Trees will be planted on all street corners no doubt ;o)
Perhaps they could tap into some of the money saved by Brexit. Some of the 350 million :-)
//How Will Labour Fund These Measures?//
Easily. Get Dianne to fudge the figures. She is known for her numeracy. :-)
i'm sure dianne abbott will have the numbers at her fingertips when she's asked ...
What happened to scrapping student debt?
That was surprisingly popular with the students.
ich // Some of the 350 million :-)//
So which one of these proposals should get that money?
You are a caution, Danny :-)
They could always tap into the Con Magic Money Tree, you know the one the Cons used to buy off the DUP ,and the same Tree the Cons used to finance preparation for a no deal brexit , then scrapped it all.
They gave you the leaflet; ask them.

Maybe the Tory years of austerity have reaped a bigger bonus for the public kitty than the chancellor is letting on. And the PM has said it's now ended, hasn't she ?
Gulliver //Cons used to finance preparation for a no deal brexit , then scrapped it all.//
It is not scrapped, it had been put in abeyance until the result of the Brexit negotiations is known.
//It is not scrapped //

a "no deal" Brexit, which is what Gulliver was referring, is not only scrapped, but legislated against.

Mushroom, he was talking about the finances set up to provide services should there be a hard Brexit.
Mushroom, if tune in to the BBC Parliament programme you will hear the subject of a hard Brexit brought up time after time in the House of Commons.
Same as always ! Put up tax to pay for it !!!
don't worry AOG, Diane Abacus has done the figures and confirmed there is enough on the magic money tree.
Why are the Cons on A/B so Frightened of Elections,???.
is TVI an elected position?
No, but VB is .
Gulliver //Why are the Cons on A/B so Frightened of Elections,???.//

Because they know there are lots of guillible people around who believe the Labour Party can keep their electoral promises without bankrupting the nation.
