Not sure there’s a link but page 19 of today’s express has an article about a developer that has put a 25ft bank abutting some homes.

It looks from the picture that the soil is actually against the fence.

But it doesn’t say anything about reinforcing of the fence or in fact the impact of the water table and rainfall.

Because that is what is to an extent more important than view surely!!!

Have looked on DM site but can’t find anything. What’s the exact title of the article?

Daily Express page 19 Our View disappeared behind a 25ft wall of dirt.
The builders claimed they had put the soil there as a means of cutting down the construction noise for the residents.
In any case, I didn't think that anyone had a right to a view.

Which is why I say the environmental impact is more important.
I'm sure something was in Mail Online about this yesterday. I would hate to have all that at the back of my house and I feel very sorry for the residents.
yikes, you wouldn't want a mudslide there.

You do have a right to light

Development happens.
I would really hate to be in that situation. There's no solution because once that berm of earth is gone their view will consist of another factory. And they previously hardly had "views of the countryside". According to Google Maps, their view was a 600' by 300' boggy field.
I agree sanmac, was not what i'd class a country side, more an illegal fly tip.
