Do not know if I should ask this or not but here goes. Why is it that when questions are answered with obvious thought and sensible advice and/suggestions there is very often no response from some of the posters. Just an observation and hoping no hard feelings

danny...well clearly i don't agree with all that is said by the Editorial team. I am not sure that one is DEMANDING feedback and/or thanks, but one is expecting it of good manners and i don't need the team to explain that to me.

Calmck, Although it is nice to have a post acknowledged it is not obligatory.
I have read your post two or three times, but I am not sure that I understand.
Do you mean that the OP doesn't get back to acknowledge the replies, is so, then i do agree, it is infuriating to me.
They’re rude.
Sometimes they’ve forgotten they posted a question.
They got their answer and rushed off to implement it and forgot to thank people.
danny.... Cloverjo sums it up quite well, no, it is not obligatory, but it IS rude.
I sometimes let chit chat questions fizzle but I always thank people if I've asked advice. I've noticed though that a lot of folks don't, maybe it's not the winning it's the taking par philosophy lol :)
I don't mind not being thanked for providing useful answers but it's nice to have posts at least acknowledged. When there's no response I never know if I've wasted my time.
You must be used to it after 3 years, cal. No?
Sqad, I did not infer that it wasn't rude.I stated the position of the Ed on this matter.
it would amuse my perverse sense of humour if calmck didn't respond on his thread

OK danny, I thought that it was your opinion,I didn't realise that you were quoting the Editorial team.
^^ BA Aelmpvw lol, me too x ^^
(Zacs gets an idea for next April 1st......he he)
Sqad, form the Guidelines:-

2. Although thanks should be forthcoming from any users you have helped demanding thanks for your help is not in the spirit of The AnswerBank

I agree Sqad, I also find it annoying.
7 years Zacs :) x
oh - no response from some of the orignal posters
not no response from some of the other posters on the thread

In Law - we suspect the following advice rate is...... zero and this accounts for almost total lack of feedback. - they didnt take the advice so cant tell us what happened

in Law you will find ONE that says - I did as you said and it was a disaster
and I was so appalled ( that we had led someone into loss) that I checked. One will and four sets of facts.....
and it was still on going.
[she didnt want to pay lawyers fees even tho her family were trying to disinherit her].
Calico.....LOL..LOL Whilst you are posting......another of my pet hates is posters suggesting which posts should be BEST ANSWER.
You can describe it as "good answer" "I agree" "Excellent answer" but the exulted title of BEST ANSWER is only given to the original poster.
Don't worry., you are not the only one, the deceased mikey was particularly apt at dissing out the |Best Answers.

Thought I would mention it......;-)
Problem solved . TIA at the end of post .
There is a ongoing OP at the moment. The usual suspect often asks for help but rarely offers thanks when help is given. Just ignorance in my opinion and I don't respond now. Once bitten......... as they say.
