I’m inclined to back Mr Farage on this: he’s already fled one car crash known as UKIP: that’s enough for anyone :-)

is your pedanticism playing havoc with your brain wires again?
No havoc here.
Question Author
Good. I would hate to see the destruction of this thread due to your pedantics over how quickly Farage left the scene.
Your headline is grossly misleading. My objection stands.
Spath //Good. I would hate to see the destruction of this thread//
If you look back to your previous on this thread you will find that it is you that has started any derailment.
Question Author
Seems you're still hung up on it. "grossly misleading"?? I object to that. Looks like we both have objections.

I'm sure the landlord would find the phrase "flees the scene" fitting.

why have you got such a issue with this? Why are we hung up on the title of the OP?
Question Author
"If you look back to your previous on this thread you will find that it is you that has started any derailment."

shhh now Danny. No point in this discussion. You'll actually find people have labelled me with prejudices throughout this thread, claiming what i think and what i'm trying to do. That is not on. This doesn't need to be discussed further now.
sorry it is 'pedantry' and not pedanticism
yeah yeah I know I am er being pedantic

yeah I think timing is all ( as in politics)
the landlord would not have banned him if st nige had fumbled around crushing the 13 m child in a kissy embrace, slobbered over him, and said mwah mwah mwah
and reassuring - "I feel awful - I wasnt driving you know"
and
'has any one got a video on their phone - what is an important teevee appearance when an ickle childs life is at stake - how blue he looks ! he breathes not ! o o he needs mouth to mouth - o cruel fate let not this young child DIE"
and then St Nige covers the child with holy spit as he does resuscitation
and then
did you have the viddie on, and catch it, I can do it again if you want you know

and as the child splutters and squawks - the father exclaims
o st nige I think you are winning on this one !
Question Author
I'd expect nothing less from a Pedant ;)
I should explain spaff
often scenes I read about on AB are Not Good Enough
and wivva bidda thought can be vastly improved....
Question Author
LOL, you're right. If Nigel had faffed over the kid, asked for photos for the local gazette and even given the landlords pub a plug, the landlord would have used farage positively for publicity. However. because Farage didn't seem phased, and instead carried on with his day like almost nothing happened, the landlord has bitten maliciously at the situation, only to embarrass himself, really.
// Your headline is grossly misleading. My objection stands.//
since the headline is
Nige fleas the scene

isnt Nize one line put down, hilariously appropriate ?

I still think it is better than the correct "Nige flees the scene" - fleas has an itchy scratchy poetic even feel about it - so - - - AB !
o god well done best answer Ich !
pathiphyllum // if you think for one second you thought that i thought Farage was driving, then you're part of the prejudice fool club.//

Yay. I was in the 'total idiot club' last week.
Think the whole thing has been staged , just to give Farage Publicity , after all he loves the Cameras , Big Time.
Question Author
"I was in the 'total idiot club' last week."

Aye but that was because you implied I had friends who were involved in the mass rape of girls in Cologne.
10.05 "My objection stands" Tread carefully now Spath you have just been Objected to.
Question Author
I object to Naomi's objections
Think all her posts are " Objectionable " Spath.

At least Naomi adds something to the Site, something that will never be said about either of you.
