Isn't he the man for the job? a leading article in today's Telegraph suggests so, he left the government over Chequers showing resolve, his best qualities are charisma, clarity of philosophy and willingness to take risks. He is, like his hero Churchill, a singular man waiting to be called. Such politicians are often disliked for long periods of time, until their colleagues suddenly realise they were right all along and that, even if they are not necessarily wanted, they are needed. This feels more and more like the hour of Boris Johnson.

Dominic Raab is a strong leave campaigner. He would make light work of the mess May has put us in.
O_G, another woman means no Gove = Happy Spathie.
He was once fired from the Times for, first, fabrication in a front page story about Edward II and making it worse by compounding it in a follow up.
Boris J that is not the Raabster
Michael Gove would be excellent IMO but seen as a vote loser I think.
We have Gove to thank for saving us from Johnson first time round.
Michael Gove is a weasel in character as well as a straight up liar.
//We have Gove to thank for saving us from Johnson first time round. //

No thanks due. We got Mrs May.
Why do you say he’s a liar? You might be confusing him with someone else. I don’t agree with his politics but he is a very charismatic individual as well as frightening clever and resourceful. He comes across badly I agree, as Ed Miliband did, rather unfairly in both cases.
"Why do you say he’s a liar?"

Because the entire time he was in charge of the education system he lied his way through it. False promises etc.. That's my main gripe with Gove. He made a royal mess of it, ask some teachers. Now he's the environmental sec? He lied about the fishing with UK waters. He said his father had been directly affected, his dad said this was a straight up lie. Also, he doesn't believe climate change is an issue. Guys a moron.
Gove, charismatic ? Surely you jest ?
He is on an interpersonal level.
“Doesn’t believe climate change is an issue??”
What have you had for breakfast spath(!)
If it was up to me however, Rory Stewart or Matt Hancock
Or Ruth Davidson.
But that bird has flown I believe
"Lord Lawson, founder of the climate science denial group the Global Warming Policy Foundation endorsed Gove for the Tory leadership in 2016."

Global Warming Policy Foundation promotes climate change denial.

Gove himself refuses to believe climate change is a issue, and he's the environmental secretary?
Most politicians are self-serving...Boris is more self-serving than most.
I detect a flaw in your logic there.
Nigel Lawson
Michael Gove
Two different people.
It’s like claiming, as someone did. That Jeremy Corbyn is homophobic because he talks to Hamas :-)
"Also, he doesn't believe climate change is an issue" He has at least one good atribute then!

As for Boris I think he is too toxic now. The problem is who else?

Really anyone is better then that ruddy woman.
ymb //"Also, he doesn't believe climate change is an issue//
He does, he stood up in the House of Commons and said that it was now an emergency.
you have world renowned scientists and celebrities such as david attenbourgh and Leonardo DiCaprio warning the world that if we don't make a big change, in 12 years the climate will be irreversibly *** but it's OK because gove and YMB don't think it's an issue.

Don't you want a world where your Grand kids don't have to struggle due to the atmosphere and climate?
