The underlying idea of unity and collaboration is a good one, but the problem arises when you get faceless unelected bureaucrats making the calls.
IMHO, wind it back 25 years and it may survive, the alternative is to go the whole hog and make countries 'states' and fully unify the economies/tax/laws etc - no exceptions.

cassa, bang on, the liberal elite never look at why the masses disagree they first look at why they can possibly disagree with what must be the "correct" answer on any given subject, us plebs need correcting!
