// What you have to ask yourself, is.....why Oldham. //
erm I think most Abers havent got passed
What you have to ask yourself, is.....where Oldham?
-
and is it? ( old )
no not really - queen st - decent early victorian urban architecture - not much else to see
( except the motorway oudda the place)
Just watched the video AOG posted and i have to say, what a bleedin' drama queen the guy who filmed it is. And what a good old local accent he has:-// BRICK!
Robinson reportedly intends to visit Burnley on Tuesday - though many of our local dignitaries have written to him saying he's not welcome. I wonder if he's chosen Burnley because of our history of race riots? That can't be the reason. Can it?
expect to be identified, investigated by us and brought in for questioning.”
//A live video posted on Facebook – but apparently since deleted – by a group calling itself the Muslim Defence League showed a group of Asian men standing and shouting at another group across the police blockade, with some appearing to throw objects and shouting “racist scum”.//
Why Oldham? Simple. Because Yaxley Lennon was canvassing there for his party as a legitimate candidate in preperation for the EU elections on Thursday. It would appear only he and Nigel are the ones bothering too.
I notice most news previously reported mentioned the MDL as the main protagonists and,as usual, pitched up spoiling for a confrontation. These facts now appear to be deleted but the GMP know who they will be looking for and they said they will 'robustly' investigate. Lets hope so.

In this country, thick, usually Muslim, usually Labour politicians and their equally thick followers don't get to decide who can and can't stand in elections.
If you like that kind of thing, Ken,,move to Pakistan where you'll fit right in.
Spice, you may think you're a wit, but you're only half right. Those "thick Labour, Muslim" folk you refer to are actually leaders of the local Labour, Tory, Lib, Green, Independent and Green parties along with members of the Church, including the Bishop of Burnley, and other community organisation chiefs.
If you want to be taken seriously, you really should check your facts. Otherwise you just come across as, well...............thick.
I don't give a flying one if every opposition party and the vicar of dibley agree. It's not how democracy works in this country.
And anyone with more than half a brain would be able to see why.
Incidentally, everywhere Tommy has stood so far, I've read the local papers. So I know exactly who your anti-democratic mates are.

Really??????
I re-post this just in case you and others missed it the first time.
AOG; you really do need to learn to read. My response was to spicerack's comments about Robinson not being welcomed in open arms by some of my town's dignitaries. Which, of course, has absolutely nothing in connection to your link.
Spicerack; "anti-democratic mates." Not me. I don't have any friends. Just like you :-//
Aww, now you're hurting my feelings.
Like I say, I know who's against democracy.
Spicerack "I've been following Tommy's progress oop north.
The local 'journalists' say 'we don't him here'
The local politicians say 'we don't want him here'.
Yet most of the letters underneath the articles say 'we do want him here' and 'i'm going to vote for him'." 01:58 Thu 02nd May 2019
