Who was it who said the other day that the parole board know that they are doing?
"no longer a danger to the public"? right oh, tell that to the next poor sod he stabs.
Are these the same idiots that, were it not for a public outcry, would have let Worboys out? What has happened to the "justice" system? Time to look at the sort of people on the parole board?

TTT = definitely flog 'em and hang 'em! From Frinton!
I'm luvin' it! :o) LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL!
OI! TORA! NOOOO!!
I don't care about whether or not, they are no longer a threat to society, that to me is secondary feature, but my gripe is the penalty for murder should be life without parole.
Also, it worries me that the Parole board had Psychiatrist on the assessment aspect..............that worries me a lot.

well no doubt who's side 10CS is on! PMSL, lefty Britain eh? what a lovely place that would be!
Question Author
the whold lot worry me squad, they seems staffed with people with no idea.
One does have to wonder at the naivete of Parole Boards - from his history this guy appears to be criminal through and through and releasing him into the community (however restrictive the "safeguards" are) is hazardous to say the least.

Should be banged up for life, he is a murderer, no excuses.

crikey I know I'm on to something when even canary is on side!

perhaps he can lodge at 10cs's place.
you posted about this 2 days ago
Not sure on what grounds you can object to his release?

He was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years, 19 years ago, so he has served his sentence and then some.

If he was being let out early, then I could understand your objection, but he has done his porridge.
Question Author
gromit he was given life, end of.
I know I have voiced this opinion before here but i think it merits repeating - if we cant execute murderers then they should be imprisoned until they die. Why take the chance with innocent lives that someone who demonstrates a propensity for killing people can be freed ?
Rools need changing then - time for some retribution.
yeah this has a look of deja-voo about it
and I remember posting about the original

rools is rools - and if one listen to modern sentences
they are going down for amazing periods - 24 and 30 y ( recommendation for life - this is different to a sentence of 30 y)

the average used to be 11 y - now much longer
Uranus?
It’s not often that I agree with TTT, but if do here. I know people who know Noye and they agree he’s a nasty piece of work. I believe them. I’m worried for the girlfriend of Stephen Cameron.
Lessons will be learned, again. Wiser after the event. Sorry we were preoccupied wringing our hands. If you aren’t going to top vicious killers, lock them away until they die. But, human rights etc.
Guess he will see the rest of his life out in prison - after he kills the next one.

I agree TTT, parole boards dont seem fit for purpose these days, but then neither are sentencing guidelines.
“ gromit he was given life, end of.“

Evidently not “end of” though, which is why you started a thread

I believe in reformation if you do or not is futile, we can’t keep prisoners for ever. He did his time, then he gets let out. It’s how the system works.
