Immorality Of The Brexit Party
How can the Brexit Party be considered anything other than morally corrupt by putting up candidates for a parliament which they loathe?

To be fair, the Brexit Party's express hope is that they'll never have to take up their seats anyway (or at least only very briefly). But I wonder how seriously they will take their new-found roles if our time in the EU continues to drag on.
Also, it does matter that the Lib Dems are criticising a system that is going to constrain their chief rivals' ability to seek fair representation. If Brexit support is at, say, 20% or so in a general election it would likely translate into only a handful of seats. And then you really *would* be outraged at the lack of democracy. The same as happened to UKIP in 2015.

Not at all. If the individuals who have joined a party fail to attract enough votes then they haven't been selected. The real outrage is allowing parties at all, thus splitting members loyalty between the party and those constituents thry are supposed to be representing. There is the affront to democracy.

If an electoral system inhibits a person from voting for his or her first choice because it seems pointless then IMO it isn’t fit for purpose.
As it happens in this election the Brexit Party did not need the fairer system as they finished top in most areas anyway, but other parties are represented also as is only fair given so many people voted for them.
The chances are the situation will be reversed at a general election.

The Brexit party *does* have the numbers, though, just as UKIP did four years back. They got more votes, nationally, than the SNP, or the LibDems, did, but fewer seats because the vote was spread out nationally.
In practice, FPTP coupled with the current party system has meant that Labour and the Tories have a lower threshold of national votes needed to get a majority than any given breakthrough party.
We've gone through all this before. All I can add is that it's massively misguided to think that getting rid of parties is even possible, let alone desirable. Politics parties arose from a natural need to gather together people who are more or less in agreement, so that they could work together to achieve their aims. If you get rid of parties and revert to every-man-for-himself politics then it would take exactly a few months before party groupings became re-established again, and that's assuming that people were hanging around.
