Jeremy Corbyn has hardly any education (a drop-out from the North London Polytechnic) and has never done a proper job. His first wife says, in all the time they were married she never saw him read a book. Well, he certainly read one; Das Kapital, and he would profit from reading more and of a wider range.

sadly khandro, the infestation is now irrevocable, I am grateful for now as the Tories in disarray. A decent opposition should be scoring in the multitude of open goals. In future the country needs a credible opposition and once brexit is sorted, the Tories regroup, Labour will be mincemeat. The Lib nondems should start to pick up the moderate Labour vote as well as those VB still bitter at brexit.

I guess you are alluding to Hilary's sterling promotion in the bombing of Syria and not his promotion re invading Iraq and bombing Libya ?

Seems to be a fear here that Corbyn would be the sole voter in any selection contests ?

They do love a good purge these lefties. When they've purged all the obvious people, they get bored and start looking around for other suspects. Complete 'cleansing' is never quite achieved though, so the purging and bullying is continuous.

The members who are members of the Labour party are in excess of 500,000 and they will vote in any selection contests, that is why it is called The Labour Party.

500,000 is an impressive membership though. It's nearly as many people as will vote for them in a general election.

candidates are selected by their local party organisations, not the entire party, surely? how unwieldy would that be if the entire party voted on each candidate.....

as I understand it the CLP gets to select the candidate, and many of these are very much Corbyn/Momentum supporting bodies.
