Throughout its long history Liberalism has never been a force in Russian politics. From Tsarist autocracy through Bolshevik dictatorship to presidential autocracy it has ever been part of the Russian psyche; they like being told what to do and think. Putin is merely looking at Germany and saying, "I told you so!"
Succinctly put. I totally agree with him.
I'm not sure liberalism has had it's day .... it continues to be shoved down our throats.... but he's right on the effects.
Frightening to consider this man has been in power for 19 years.
Surely he's simply expressing his hopes and desires for his own country, and those he annexes.
Did see an interesting point a few days ago when the writer asked: "Why do Muslim refugees always head for Christian countries".
Can't be enthused enough to read it all but from thar paragraphs I read it seems to be a mix of stating the obvious, and exaggerating others views/opinions in order to lampoon them.
