I’m not sure this can, or should, be compared to the current spate of knife crime on our streets. This appears to be a domestic incident rather than gang/youth related.

We do not yet know if this was a domestic or a gang related killing.

But whatever it is, it is still a knife related murder, and knife crime has now risen to epidemic proportions.

No we don't know but it wouldn't be the first time someone has been stabbed during the course of a domestic dispute and therefore it isn't reasonable to link it automatically to the current spate of knife crime among the young.
