How can that be when she herself is a senior police officer and also a woman?
Not to mention that the head of Scotland Yard Cressida Dick is also female.

/// Playing the race/gender card is the easy option, what about the white/male officers who have applied and failed in applying for promotion, do they also have a case? ///
No they don't belong to a 'protected species' and thus are not issued with any cards to play.
Makes one wonder who is paying her legal fees?

yeah well done ZM reading and understanding the action
the back story is that she got screwed for doing something c the rewards system ( like I suppose putting herself up for one - well who wouldnt?) - and was acquitted ....
in a lot of industries there is no appetite after an acquittal to go after the gain-sayers, and the employer certainly doesnt want to waste more time ....

yeah that crossed my mind
equal opportunities may be (they do assess whether you have a good case or not)

the lucky claimant did NOT claim on colour race or sex, but the defendants answers ( my old employer actually) was so crip, the barrister rose up and amended his application .....
from the article
'In 2007, his manager raised concerns about overspending'
and then turned up in court and gave such duff answers that the defendants had to pay ....

AOG - // How can that be when she herself is a senior police officer and also a woman? //
I don't understand your point - are you saying that because the officer is Asian and female, it blocks her from protection of the rules that apply to other officers?
// Not to mention that the head of Scotland Yard Cressida Dick is also female. //
Similarly, I fail to see the relevence of Ms. Dick's gender to the situation.
Just because an officer is female, as in the case of Ms. Dick, does not automatically mean that she is beyond inappropriate conduct towards other female officers.

o god I understand his point - it is a complete non sequitur
if any one has heard it mostly before - they have
https:/ /en.wik ipedia. org/wik i/Ali_D izaei
he took the MPS to court , got moolah, was convcted on other matters, served time, successfully appealed, was reconvicted and served time again,
and is now out saying it is all a great white conspiracy against him and everyone.
(odd story of complaints by other Farsi speakers of soliciting and taking bribes, all hush hush because no one cd understand what was said. another thread on CCTV. odd turning point when the CCTV top right hand corner backed what the complainant said not the defendant)

not really
non sequitur is Latin ( an old old language dead as dead can be)
for "it doesnt follow"
https:/ /www. blah de blah-racial-gender-discrimination.html is the basic tenet - let us call it line 1
"How can that be when she herself is a senior police officer and also a woman?" is a non sequitur - that means that it doesnt follow from line 1 . we could call that line 2 - can you count andie?
"Not to mention that the head of Scotland Yard Cressida Dick is also female." is a non sequitur from line 1. That means it does not follow from line 1. Also it doesnt follow from the sentence beginning 'how can she be...' that means it is another non sequitur from line 2
Under this analysis it is a row of non sequiturs
this means I can state I can understand it ( because it is a row of non sequiturs ) . If I hadnt understood it, then I wouldnt know they were non sequiturs. I would be left only with the usual AB cry of:
wot dat mean den?
just like you andie
have a good evening
