But yes, I completely see the logic in TTT's post. Once we've walked away from a deal that was negotiated over a period of a couple of years conducted at the highest levels, the EU will be very keen indeed to negotiate further deals with a clearly unreliable negotiating partner.

so jim, you think the Germans wont want a deal to sell us their jam jars then? I think you underestimate the ability of business to cut through political dogma. No deal is just a device to get us out and in a position to do a deal. That was never going to be possible whilst we are in.
