No sure about this young lady who talks that she's been campaigning for years for what she believes in, good for her but she also says she'll fight tooth and nail for a No Brexit Deal, Why don't people like her realise there was a democratic vote to leave ?

in their eyes it's only democracy if it goes their way.

That's very true Tora, she absolutely discounted what 51per cent if the electorate voted for over 3+years ago
Because as a Europhile one of her core beliefs has to be, if a vote goes against you, you should keep having more votes until one has a result you approve of. A vote you dislike is seen as merely a temporary setback.
Personally I believe that once all the current issues are resolved the LIB Dems will revert back to single figure polling obscurity. I used to support them years ago but their policies drifted to far away from anything remotely resembling what I thought this country needs.
Because some of us don't want to leave!!
And can't accept not getting their own way ?
Sharon - // Because some of us don't want to leave!! //

But more of us do than don't - that's democracy.

You don't have to like it, but you do have to obey it.
You wouldn't wish to silence those people though, would you, Andy?
One might hope they'd accept and get on board behind the decision thus responsibly silencing themselves.
That's proven to be a little unrealistic.
That's true. Not everyone has the same high standards nor the willingness to get behind a decision for the benefit of the nation. I think that's what the OP is about.
It's a bit of a rhetorical question, though as I'm sure she realises there was a vote to leave. This doesn't, in a society which values free speech as one of it's fundamental values, preclude her from saying how she feels or expressing her intent.
It's everybody's responsibility to campaign for what they actually think is best for the country.
Ed Davey should campaign to rerun the leadership vote.
And a greater responsibility not to mess up their nation by dissenting and leaving us in a weaker position when negotiating with others. A decision is made, one makes the best of it.

Even after a democratic vote Jim?
Yes, for the reasons I wrote in my last post.

You can't just silence those who believe their course of action is the beast one. That's the first step on the road to a totalitarian state.

I think leaving is best for the county, or I wouldn't have voted leave in the first place !
Yes. No-one should have to abandon their core beliefs even after a vote has taken place. And besides, the only way for the 2016 result to be reversed is if the people decide that it should be reversed, be it through a new referendum or through electing a party on a manifesto of repealing it.
