Canabis induced psychosis is almost certainly from cannabis that has way too much thc % in it. This is one of the problems with black market cannabis. It is also an issue because of the lack of beneficial CBD.

Regarding finances, just look at the profits in Colorado. Once the gov breaks even, the rest of the profit could potentially go straight into our NHS.

The amount of ailments that could be cured with the legalised drug would be large also. That would help the NHS

The amount of prescription drugs that we could stop using as much would be huge.

The amount of police that could stop perusing cannabis crime would be huge.

All of those aspects would add up to government savings.

People 'do' smoke the leaves.

Danny, in my knowledge as a gardener, leafs are riddled with stalks. In fact, the whole structure of a leaf is stalk.

Although leaf contains THC just like the bud and stalk/stem of the plant.. It is not good to smoke. This THC can be extracted and used in more healthy ways.

Yes a lot of cultures use the leaf of the plant as the cigarette paper, but in my knowledge as a westerner, that's certainly not our culture.

The UK culture is to not smoke leaf or stalk. The UK culture is also to smoke it with tobacco (bad for the health) in a rizzla.
Spath //The amount of police that could stop perusing cannabis crime would be huge//
No it wouldn't, the legalisation will only apply to the oil.It will still be illegal to smoke it.
Spath . You are keen to espouse the so-called benefits. Should it become legal in the UK will you be first in the queue to experiment with it's alleged benefits?
Question Author
Danny, many county's have actually decriminalised cannabis. teesside for example. It is up to the chief of each county how they react and act.

If cannabis was decriminalised across the UK or even legalised, then it would not be only for oils. It would certainly be for flower as well.

I am talking recreational.

Medicinally, yes mostly they would be oils, and oral sprays.

"Should it become legal in the UK will you be first in the queue to experiment with it's alleged benefits?"

Should it become legal.. Why not?
I have to say that all the large quantities of illegal cannabis, I have come across, look like Herbes de Provence or Green tea leaves that have been finely shredded from leaf. That is why it is sent away to be analysed.
Question Author
Retro if you search "Nugs" on google images.. That is what people in the UK smoke, and that is what is sold in amsterdam coffee shops, and america.

Spath, To my knowledge, and unless you have proof, Teeside is the only force that allows this, and it is still illegal.
If this link can be opened it explains what is and what is not smoked on a cannabis plant and how it is prepared for those who are actually interested. It does have an age limit on viewing.

Question Author
I started a thread on it recently. I have no further evidence than teaside, and a quote from scottland yard.

I believe,to their shame, Chief Constables have negated their responsibilities with regard to possession and growing the stuff.
As you say it is still illegal but some chiefs have arbitarily instructed their officers to do a Nelson.
This blatant neglect of duty whilst the stuff is still illegal is probably a protest measure against the government for man power shortages and cut backs .

^ wasn't much discussion but i did put it out there.
//This is astonishing in view of the cumulative relationship between cannabis and violence. This is symptomatic of the politically influenced easier-to-say-yes-than-no culture of present day policing.’//
I agree wholeheartedly.
From your link

//David Raynes of the National Drug Prevention Alliance said: ‘Deliberately undermining the law on cannabis is no part of the NPCC’s function.’

In response to the NPCC statement, the Home Office said that police chiefs are expected to enforce the law. A spokesman said: ‘Possession of cannabis is a criminal offence.’//
Question Author
Has Colorado, or other american states, seen an increase in violence?
Not sure about Colorado but Texas and two others have recently.
Question Author
