Sikhs Ask Media To Stop Calling Pakistani Muslim Rape Gangs ‘Asian’

'The Network of Sikh Organisations (NSO) has called on the media to stop referring to grooming gangs that are predominantly comprised of perpetrators from a Pakistani Muslim background as “Asian”, which inaccurately incorporates British Hindu and Sikh communities.'

I see their point, but, why not call them, Pakistani Muslim rape gangs?

They may have a point. But if not using the wider meaning description can you imagine the trouble caused by tarring a specific nationality as if they were all into grooming ? One would end up preventing the media saying much at all.

If we wish to be exact we can call Filipinos Asians or Israelis. I don't believe I saw any of those in the conviction mugshots. A lot of Filipino staff who worked alongside my wife in the NHS both male and female also took great exception to these gangs solely described as 'Asian'.

Absolutely right. When Islam is criticised some are quick to jump to its defence by saying 'Don't tar all Muslims with the same brush'. However, the media has no hesitation in tarring all Asians with the same brush. The perpetrators are overwhelmingly Muslim - and in fairness to all other Asians that should be made clear - always.
