Well it seems pretty obvious to me that French officials are not going to try very hard to stop these people leaving so we need to ensure they are sent back or give notice that we will not be rescuing anyone, I'd be happy to see warning shots fired to try to force them to turn round- we could say it's all part of a post Brexit hard border
