Jesy From Little Mix Tried To Kill Herself!!!

You have probably seen the news this morning. Jesy Nelson has bravely come forward and told her story of how she took an overdose after relentless bullying and trolling online. Thank God her supportive boyfriend Chris found her in time and called for help - that probably saved her life!!

I've been reeling all day after reading this but so proud of Jesy for speaking out. Her story will raise awareness about online bullying and trolling. I know there have always been a few trolls who called her fat and ugly but I've always thought she was hot personally and the best dancer in the group.

How can we protect other young celebs from this type of abuse and how can we make people more aware that the celebs we idolise are people with feelings??

Jesy has had a fair bit of surgery - I just wish I could have told her "you don't need it babe". She has always been gorgeous. It's really a shame because she was bullied badly as a child so much that all her hair fell out from stress. Now she has gone through it again as an adult. Breaks my heart.

Hopefully parents try to build up the self confidence and prepare their children for the trials they may face as they grow into adulthood.

Despite all this not everyone copes well.

I've always liked Jesy the best, she's absolutely fabulous when she's performing with Little Mix. She always seemed so confident too. You never know what's going on in someone's life do you ...

What i can't get my head around is, she's confident enough to stand on stage in front of thousands yet so fragile she gets so upset by a few keyboard warriors that she attempts suicide. I have said before on these pages that i do not believe people commit or attempt suicide over one single reason but a build up of reasons. And, as i have also said, my opinion is formed by my own experience of having 3 family members end their own lives.

Hate this kind of publicity. We're all well aware of mental health, and bullying. Why do celebs think these stories are still worth our time. Nice you're a normal person.. anyone with half a brain cell actually knew that.. Just more fame.. which was the issue, weren't it? Pfft.

Errrr...because it might help trolls understand the consequences of their actions and let victims know they aren't alone.

Ken - look at the amount of celebs who have killed themselves! They hid it very well. Robin Williams springs to mind.

They're well aware of the consequences of their actions, and they literally on't care. They have no conscious or they're sadistic. That's what makes them trolls.

We are all different and some handle critisism differently to others. That said, it's often the people we think of as having a strong and confident outward appearence, who are the vulnerable ones.

Trolls don't give a tiny rats a**e when they dish it out behind the safety of a screen.

I left both Twitter and Facebook a few months ago. Trust me, life is better without Social Media.

In regards to Jesy, it seems that acts who come through talent shows get it worse than anyone online. It's the responsibility of their management to school them and protect them from the darker side of stardom. Sadly, Mr Cowell only cares about how much move he can make, not the wellbeing of his talent.

Ummmm; true, but Robin Williams suffered from, and was being treated for, severe depression and paranoia. He also believed he had Parkinsons though, apparently, it later turned out that he had Lewy body dementia, which caused hallucinations and depression. As i suggested earlier, suicides are usually carried out because of a number of reasons rather than just the one.

But it can be one thing. One thing that becomes all consuming.

I have to agree with Ken though, it's usually more than one thing that drives them to attempt suicide. It could be a cover to hide something else. I do hope she can overcome whatever is troubling her.

Yes they can, ummmm, but i would have to ask just what else was going on in her life at that particular moment in time. I understand the trolling would get her down, but for her to feel so worthless because of it, there has to be other factors. And, of course,she didn't HAVE to read it. That's what i'm getting at. Most who actually want to commit suicide, actually achieve their objective because they take steps to ensure no-one interrupts them. As all 3 of my relatives did - none of them took their lives at home.

Yes, suicidal people tend not to advertise the fact. It's just when you ridicule someone for how they look it's something they can't escape from.

Lets not pretend this woman didn't get just as many messages from people calling her beautiful, or trying to date her or just trying to talk to her and support her because she was in little mix.

She chose to focus on the negative side of things..

For many people being bullied or trolled, it's all negative, and there isn't a shred of light or hope that someone at least thinks your worth while..

I don't agree with this kind of publicity stunt. It's disgusting.
