the problem is that these places use things like this to annoy the west. The fact that we can read a newspaper in the Ayatollah's kazi from space so why would we send a couple of tourists with a drone is lost on them.
What will happen to the Protesters who plan to fly drones over Heath Row, this week end to try and cause Major Disruption ? They will probably have Police Protection.

Bobbi - // … and theses people are 'supposed' to be the intelligent ones, she, being a lecturer at Cambridge university //

You are making the common mistake of assuming that academic intelligence is an indicator of simple common sense.

I have attended the Cambridge Folk Festival for years, and driving back to my hotel each night, I have my heart in my mouth because of the huge numbers of students who, by definition, are among the top academic brains of their generation, who don't bother to put lights on their bikes!

The would say a good eighty per cent of students who ride their bikes in the dark do not carry any lights at all - as I say, academic intelligence is no indication of common sense whatsoever.

Andy, one in particular ( the female) has surpassed studentship and risen to the heady heights of being a lecturer at Cambs university , but perhaps you're right, common sense doesn't have a place in their intellectual head?

Unsure what additional info anyone would think drone use would get over that provided by spy satellites. Tourists shouldn't be able to get near anywhere sensitive anyway. More inclined to think it was simply a lack of consideration of the risks, and really believing that the country just had a bad rap. They live and learn.

They definitely ARE stupid Bobbi ..

(oops I've probably annoyed f-f again - oh dear)!
At least they haven't lost their heads yet.
Unlike others who set out to show us how safe it is to travel in Muslim countries.
Iran is actually a very interesting country to visit and the people are lovely (as is the food) I don't get the whole "I would never visit a Muslim country" idea.
On second thoughts I do. It's based on ignorance.

237,visit by all means but while doing so,read up about the culture and what you should not do, I have Iranian friends and they're the most hospitable people I know
I don't need to read up on anything, thanks
Question Author
I'm not asking YOU to read up , I'm suggesting visitors should before they go to places like Iran ! gosh it there a full moon tonight !!!
I`m sure they do, as anyone would when they go visit somewhere.
Question Author
Haha, I'm agreeing with your comment on visiting Muslim countries

Newsflash; The people in 237's hotel were lovely. Even the armed guards.
