"call Me Dave" Cameron Releases His Memoirs
He says he thinks about Brexit every day and how he wonders how things would have been different had the vote went the other way, he's doing the circuit promoting it with TV appearances etc
He's a 100 per cent coward who I liken to the other slithery eel,Blair !

zebo - // His greatest error was to give the electorate what he promised, a referendum! // Not quite - his greatest error was giving the electorate a referendum based on his lofty assumption that he could take for granted that it would vote the way he wanted, which, as advised, shows how seriously out of touch he was, and is, with the mood of the country.

//What , you tories not going to give him some of your folding ?//
Bazile,
Unlike the late Mikey some of us Torys recognise a bad un when we see it. Mikey would give his vote to a donkey if it wore a Labour Rosette.
I no longer really wish to vote Tory but damn well will do so if it keeps those evil communists Trots out of No10.
Corbyn and McDonnel are already plotting the downfall of this country with their 'Union Rules the Country' and a 4 Day Week. There is a slot in Zimbabwe at the moment for a 'what's yours is mine and mine's my own' dictator I believe. May be Venezuela calls them.

It's human nature for people to believe the best of themselves, and I don't doubt that Mr Cameron does exactly the same.
He will believe that he left with dignity when his referendum backfired on him - most others will see it differently.
I am pleased that the Daily Mail has finally stopped pedaling 'Sam Cam' as some sort of person we should be interested in - I always got the feeling that they promoted her as being 'attractive' because they thought they should.

He's in all the papers today. As wrong now as he always was.
What an indictment of politicians that they are so out of touch with the public that they can honestly (presumably) confess to not realising so many wanted to leave the EU. That stated, Cameron is worse, he didn't even know that so many fellow Tories wanted out.

It would be nice if we could accept as a given that our leaders not only know what the people they represent want, but also that they know what members of their Party want as well.
Sadly, history indicates that this is an assumption that we are seriously unwise to rely on, as it rarely reflects the facts.

I think that is slightly unfair.
Plainly he understood that the mood of the country was not well disposed to Europe or a referendum would not have been held.
The mood of the country mattered because it was liable to result in the Tori’s losing votes and members to UKIP.
At least he admits he messed up.
After all just look what’s happened!
I love his challenge to Michael Gove: Are you a team player or are you a w****r? Please don’t be a w****r.
Another misjudgment.

Then we must agree to differ - I stand by my premise that no politician does anything that does not benefit them personally in some way, either financially, or by getting Brownie points from their constituency and / or their party.
Cameron thought he would win a Remain Vote, and was probably horrified when he didn't, but was savvy enough to see what was coming, and walk away.
As for admitting that he messed up, that's hardly in his favour, doing otherwise would make him look like an even bigger idiot than he looked already! Difficult, but denial would have done it!!
