20.01, What does TGL Mean ?
The Good Lady or The Great Lady.
Meaning Maggie Thatcher.
It's the horse-mouth that gets me, both in terms of teeth and what comes out of it. The only positive is that we don't get the religious bs of her predecessor.....who held the constituency where I grew up, unfortunately.
So we now have TGT + TGL + TCL = LOB, OK.
GULLIVER I trust you mean THELOONYCORBYN (TLC) and not me (TCL)
and I would prefer it if folk were more careful when abbreviating his name.

Prior to his appearance, I was not too bothered if I was called TLC in error but with his using a name and style very close to mines, folk are using TCL when I am not involved.

I appreciate it is a play on words but the fact that it is in uppercase appears to have been a deliberate imitation of my username.

If it continues, I will be contacting the Ab Editor to see if it can be resolved.
I always double check if that helps TCL,I too think it's too near your ID
You should be proud, getting mixed up with TLC, Corby.
He makes you sound quite intelligent now and again.
Cheers, there's been a couple of times when I've had to give a double-take to his name so I appreciate it must be confusing to others.
I have to say I fell for TLC post as belonging to TCL until I realised you would not have posted what they did. It’s too similar , I agree contact the Ed .
SPICERACK, compared to you, I'm Brain of Britain.
"...how we laughed in 1981 when delusionist Steele [sic] thought he'd be doing a deal with TGL herself."

David Steel thought no such thing. Late 1981 the Liberal-SDP Alliance was polling around 50% - the coalition he envisaged was an Alliance government.

"...possibly this even spawned the unconvincing gang of 5"

The SDP was formed six months earlier by the Gang of Four.
But for the Falklands War he might even have been correct. As it was the SDP/Liberals still picked up around a quarter of the electorate, which turned into a pathetic 3% of the seats.

In the 1983 General Election, Labour got 27.6% of the votes and 209 MPs; the SDP/Liberal Alliance got 25.4% of the votes and twenty-three MPs.
The 2015 General Election was fun.

The Scottish Nationalists got 1.5 million votes which translated into 56 parliamentary seats.
UKIP got 3.9 million votes which got them just 1 seat.
1. FPTP is just not working for millions of voters & needs to be replaced with a fairer system asap.
2.People have lost whatever faith they had in politicians & think they are no better at running a country than the man or woman in the street would be.
3. Post 2016 & the Brexit shinanigans there will be a huge drop in voter turnout in future. I've lost count of the number of people who say "I've never missed voting before but I will never vote again".
She is after coalition or holding the aces in a hung parliament.
The Liberal/SDP alliance was formed well after 1983.
I actually thought THECORBYLOON had changed his username to THELOONYCORB as a joke.

Any way up, aren’t all party leaders up their own backside?
The Tory leader certainly is.

Ha, that's all you know. I'm not as thick as I make myself out to be.
