You haven't answered the crux of my question there, OG. The question is, when faced with something which looks like it might not go the PM's way, would you be happy for Parliament to be prorogued to avoid this happening?

The fact that proroguing in this way is unlawful is why it has not been attempted since 1831.

We have been unlucky to have a Prime Minister who has constantly said he will ignore or break the law, and an Attorney General giving out bad advice. Truth is, this current Government is both amateur and arrogant - a bad combination.
