Unity?
Why are they calling it a Government of National Unity when it's aim is to frustrate Brexit and overthrow the decision of the 17 million + who voted Leave. Where's the national unity in that?

As for the government why did they not try to get an election when Johnson took office and effectively the Tory hard right in government? If he is big on popular mandates he should have done it then.
I’d have thought in any case the PM would not want the distraction of an election in the middle of EU negotiations :-)
Hold and win an election, AND get a deal with the EU AND all by Oct 31?
You can see why people are sceptical ...
