//the MayBo Brino deal is worse than staying, totally unacceptable,//

interestingly, Mr Corbyn described yesterday in the house for what it is - a "treaty" - as in something imposed on the losing side in a conflict.....
I know Mr Johnson has hit nothing but brick walls from day one, but they are ALL just a bunch of turncoats and renegades.

I think it’s over. There is nobody left in parliament fighting for a decent deal, or even better, a no deal. I’ve looked up how at least half of the ERG voted, and haven’t found anyone who voted against the carp updated May/BRINO deal. I fail to see how those that were so against Mrs May’s deal can vote for this and claim it’s a good deal.

Hammond or Stewart, Reece-Mog or Francois. All as bad as one another.

As the saying goes, "How can you tell when a politician is lying? Their lips are moving".
Boris is the best thing to happen to Britain since Thatcher.
What is the Brexiter equivalent of a “leftie love-in”?
:-)
//What is the Brexiter equivalent of a “leftie love-in”? //

there's no equivalent. Brexit doesn't divide along party lines.
I’m not suggesting it does: I said “Brexiter” not “right wing”

The irony of this three-year debacle is that Thatcher would probably have kept us in the EU, arguing strongly for British interests and ensuring the Germans and French didn't steam-roller it towards an undemocratic super-state.

Go tell that to David Cameron !
Our recent "leaders" have been a pretty poor bunch, haven't they? "Dave" introduces a referendum to thwart UKIP and fails, ripping his party to shreds. Corbyn has never stated where he stands on the EU and vacillates, trying to work out which opportunistic position to take this week. Not that I would vote for her, but at least with Jo Swinson has been consistent in her position.
The problem the Lib Dems have now is they have a manifesto pledge to Revoke Article 50 (depending on when the election happens I suppose) while for now supporting a second referendum. That does make sense but might be awkward to explain.
The fact that Johnson has managed to get a deal has I must admit thrown many Remain supporters slightly. The argument that we need a referendum because parliament won’t support any deal is looking a bit shaky. Although the Lib Dems have always championed that cause anyway regardless.
I still think there is more than a chance this Parliament may fall out of what love it currently has for it
"The irony of this three-year debacle is that Thatcher would probably have kept us in the EU, arguing strongly for British interests and ensuring the Germans and French didn't steam-roller it towards an undemocratic super-state."

Thatcher knew post-Maastricht that the EU was already an undemocratic super-state (as she forewarned in her 1988 Bruges Speech and at the Despatch Box in 1990).

I don't think Thatcher would have even allowed us a vote !
"I don't think Thatcher would have even allowed us a vote !"

There would have been no need for a vote since she would not have agreed to the Maastricht Treaty (nor its amendment via the Amsterdam Treaty) which created the EU.
ABerrant, thanks for that, great to see TGL in full flow again.

Except it is right wing. This is exactly the same kind of sheeeeeite that the Corbynistas come out with when they successfully bully a Blairite quisling out of the Labour party.
I would say 'Well done Boris', as soon as he picks an ear for the stiletto.
“Except it is right wing”

So you’re now claiming yourself mushroom that Brexiters are all right wing?
I’m confused.
I was merely commenting in a light hearted way on a thread there there are mainly comments from people who ardently share a particular view of things.
Ludwig not mushroom this time.
I am confused :-)
" We are coming out on the 31st Oct ,End of ! "
Who said that then on A/B ?.
