Junckett says we are out on Jan 31. I assume he's really saying that no more extensions will be allowed.

What they don't say is which of those two choices they would back - Emily Thornberry was made to look very stupid on Question Time not long ago when she said that she'd campaign in that referendum against any new deal the Labour Party had only just renegotiated!
Putting it to a referendum is extremely unlikely to result in a definite outcome. Firstly they have no intention of putting any acceptable option on the ballot paper. Just whatever remain deal they hope they'd get vs revoking A50. And secondly no one who believes in democracy and the previous referendum result is going to let such abuse by a government be the end of anything. It'd just get kicked off again at the earliest opportunity because it was invalid to deny the people that initial decision to go.
