Frankly I'm sick of the Communists (labour) and nutters ( lib debs) hanging off peoples tragic circumstances for their own benefits. Boris has promised money for the flood victims what more do they want?

Surely if you choose to live near a river, then you know you are at a greater risk of flooding than those that don’t.
Whilst I have genuine sympathy for the people affected, isn’t it up to individuals to make sure they have adequate insurance in case of such events.
If the environment agencies have not been monitoring flood defences or putting preventative measures in place, how is that Mr Johnson’s fault?
And could he really be expected to drop everything and visit the area as soon as it happened?
Labour and Lib non Dems are just trying to make political capital out of this. They may now be promising the earth, but would these floods have still happened if either of them were in government now? Of course they would.
Or is Corbyn really King Canute?

Canute's proper name, of course, was Cnut. No need to take any letters away, just rearrange them. In my honest opinion, you can add an 's' at the end and apply the word to both Johnson and Corbyn. Johnson for his faux sympathy for those affected by the floods and Corbyn for trying to gain the political high ground on the misery of those poor folk.
As for adequate insurance policies, i seem to recall premiums being raised sky high after the last lot of floods in Yorkshire. Successive governments have let the north down while assuring that those in the south have adequate flood defences.

Since the foreigners don't come to our aid in our times of hardship perhaps we should take some of the foreign aid money and help our these poor people?
Just heard on the radio that we send China 8 million to encourage the Chinese to lower their salt intake and one and half million to India to help them to reduce their alcohol intake.
