Albanian Earthquake
Was sorry to wake up to this news. Have been in touch with most of my Albanian friends and family and all seem to be well thank goodness. Feel quite useless so far away, but not much I can do except donate to any relief fund. In my thoughts and prayers.

U.S. Army personnel from the Civil-Military Support Element, Kosovo, arrived in Albania yesterday to support relief efforts following the November 26 earthquake. Albania is an important partner, ally, and friend, and the United States will continue to work together to help the Albanian people in their time of need.

I note Crete is experiencing a few tremors at this time. No great surprise. I was there several years ago during a freezing January and experienced one.A large fault runs through Greece and the Balkans. The Cretans are quite used to them apparently. The earthquake at the end of Captain Corelli's Mandolin set in Kephalonia (or Cephalonia) was no fiction. That was fact.
