Boris was invited by Channel 4 but declined. Two questions - why did he decline and do we want a PM who hides from public scrutiny?

The media should not be calling the shots, nor should they fail to act impartially by trying to ridicule those who don't play their game. However many of the public often seems fooled by such things, even to the extent of posting threads trying to make political capital out of it.
why do any of you bother engaging with this troll ?...
Diddly...of course Boris ids "dodging" Andrew Neil......who wouldn't.

Tories are in the driving seat according to the polls and a mauling of BJ by AN is inevitable, bumbling will not go down well.
If i was in BJ's shoes, I would avoid AN as well.....whether it is ethical or fair, the answer will come on dec 12th....but for the moment......of course BJ is dodging AN.
The men in blue suits who control the Con party , have told him not to appear on any more TV Questions and Answers Programs this side of the election, in case he makes himself look a bigger fool than he is.
A bit early to say that he is dodging the interview. At the moment all we know is that he has not confirmed or denied it.

He’s currently on LBC radio ( live) explaining to Nick Ferrari,
Gulliver 09.08 Stop posting rubbish that you can't provide proof of.

"in case he makes himself look a bigger fool than he is. "
something your have personal experience of doing , in fact an expert no less, and you prove it with every Boris fixation posts of yours......
If the debate was for party leaders only, he can't complain.
I see there is another interview program on tonight and both main partys are being represented by someone other than the leader including the Labour party but I suppose that will be fine in your eyes. Labour have Rebecca Long-Bailey on so I wonder how many times she will be able to get the word Jeremy into the answers as she never speaks for herself.
He can very easily complain at the channel's actions after he'd declined to attend personally. It's clearly impartial, trying to punish those who won't jump at their command.
... not impartial ...
ludwig, the complaint was about putting a block of ice where Boris would have been standing. The complaint was justified, the ice was just a cheap trick.

That's fair enough, but I thought the complaint was about denying the Conservatives representation by not letting Gove participate.

If that debate doesn't stipulate that only party leaders are invited, then there's no comparison.
Ha Ha Danny ,Loved the Block of Ice to represent Boris , Drip , Drip , Drip . Have to agree what a drip he is .
DANNY, I didn't see News at Ten last night but seen just now on catch-up.

It lasted 3.5 minutes, hardly the same as a thirty minutes grilling by Andrew Neil.
Corby, he would probably not get any more than 3.5 minutes in a discussion with the other party leaders.
With reference to Andrew Neil see my post at 09.09
Gulliver @ 10.10
See post at 08.51.
Oh, Michael Gove, you made a complete a** of yourself on tv last night. Someone in the channel 4 studios may find his dummy !
When was he on, anneasquith?
