Errrr.... No ! Austerity was likely not to last forever anyway and both major parties said it was over. Brexit will has short term disruption, no one voted because it looked easy but because it returned our sovereignty, control of our own destiny.

Perhaps I can help. It will mean that the 500m citizens of the EU Rump (together with those from any new members) will no longer have an unqualified right to settle in the UK. Whether any of them are allowed to settle here will be a matter for the UK to decide. Among other things it will end the current policy which discriminates against potential migrants from outside the EU which we are forced to adopt courtesy of our membership.
