HERE HERE JUDGE
bang on judge, more recently when jezza was interviewed and asked about his Xmas day routine, specifically watch HM's broadcast said, "I may not watch it each year on Xmas morning......" - priceless, he's lived this long without knowing that HM speaks at 3pm, his contempt for us, the British, given away so obviously.
For the record, Michael Foot was not wearing a donkey jacket, it was labelled as such by the media.
It was in fact a car coat bought from Harrods.
"Why not - they could put a stuffed monkey in charge"

brilliant !...
judge 13:58, are they still doing the £3 thing? If so I'll sign up again and vote for Lammy if he's standing. He'll be better for the tories than even Jezza! PMSL!
Please let it be Lammy. I can see his shadow cabinet now. In charge of Energy and Industrial Strategy Mahatma Coat with an assistant, Schooww Son to do all the leg work. International Trade Phakeeta Phags. Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs the delightfully named, if a little saucy, Dee Panpy Zaa, and Eva Vestoff to front Culture Media and Sport. With a nod to Baga Chipz for the idea. :))
PMSL Togo! I'd hope for a Lammy/Abacus joint leadership, all the bases covered!
Corbyn is sticking around to orchestrate, along with McDonnell and Momentum, the selection of his successor. They simply don't understand why Labour was so decisively rejected - and by its core voters. Nothing will change. Labour is in its death throes.
the following explains how labour leadership process works, and why it's more likely that left wing candidates will make it on to the ballot paper.

Yes we all know that the current rules for electing a Labour leader favour the left of the party. However “Corbynism” as such is dead. It died with Corbyn politically on Dec 12. That’s not to say that the hard left won’t try to retain control of the party and almost certainly will do unless the rules change. But it won’t be “Corbynism” and it won’t be Corbyn who was pretty much a dinosaur. Any new leader will be younger, probably female more competent and more voter friendly - not that that would be difficult.
Jeremy Corbyn has said that it's up to the National Executive Committee (NEC) - Labour's governing body - to decide when he goes as leader.

could the NEC decide that actually, JC is the leader and there doesn't need to be an election?
//Any new leader will be younger, probably female//

As I understand it Rebecca Long-Bailey is McDonnell's preferred choice. Heaven forbid!
// I'd hope for a Lammy/Abacus joint leadership //

I don't think we'll be seeing much of Abacus when Corbyn goes ttt. He was the only reason she was let anywhere near the shadow cabinet in the first place.
togo, best laugh i have had for ages......
pity ludders I always enjoy her performances.
I think ITV can charge more for adverts when she's on!
I'm pretty sure that it was only a couple of days ago that the AB right were hoping for a stronger, more central opposition party to keep complacency from setting in and offer a true alternate for voters. Now you guys want Labour to implode and give Boris a free reign for the next decade or so. Make your minds up folks.
Mozz, I don't think that hope has changed, but looking to the current Labour Party shambles to fulfil that role is futile - as must surely be obvious to all.

Still hoping for that but unlikely to see it with the present examples on offer.
Naomi, then all the reason to elect a !leader who's not part of that rotten core of Labour old boys. Someone who will shake up the party and put the bad'uns on the back benches, not in the shadow cabinet.
