But it is "Her Majesty's" government, OG, not their constituents. IF MPs want such a constitutional change they should ask the electorate whether they want it.

It may be supposed to be the monarch's government, but in practice royalty just confirms the policies elected by the government. It's all a nonsense, it's really the citizens' government pretending to be otherwise. (One may as well suggest MEPs control the EU.)

It may be HM Government but it's not HM Parliament. I don't think they should swear allegiance to the Queen. To country , maybe.

if that's as you state, why is Jeremy Corbyn referred to officially as "The Leader of Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition"?

It's a bit of a stupid thing to do anyway, because the Queen would never prevent Scottish independence from happening, so there's no contradiction there, and no need for a childish gesture.
