it's not enough for Boris to hire an extra 20,000 coppers. He has to ensure they're deployed on the streets, fighting knife crime and tackling burglary, instead of pursuing politically motivated prosecutions for 'hate crimes'.

very good points. interesting article..
Very insightful article.Littlejohn is a beacon of good journalism in the much castigated Daily Mail.
so he is.
Ding dong, ding dong!
yep bang on for RL.
I disagree with just about every syllable of this idiot's ramblings. He's preaching from an Ivory tower. His proposals are insulting to our emergency services. They are also economically ignorant.

I despair that people take his anachronistic Lord Haw Haw type putting down of our country as some sort of Utopian answer to anything. Typical DM reader fodder.
This "endless propaganda about 'climate change'". Is that from those who deny the climate is heating up, or from those who admit that it is but deny we have any responsibility for it ?
sorry but he does speak the truth, some won't, don;t like it, well read something else, like the Grauniad for instance.
Typical ZM vitriolic rubbish.
There's very little truth anywhere in that article. I do wish people could see through him.

Just a few examples -
Loudness of Big Ben - At close proximity, the sound of Big Ben measures 118 decibels, which is loud enough to cause physical pain. The sounds associated with jet planes measure between 120 and 140 decibels. Any sound above 85 decibels has the potential to cause hearing damage. So it's not H&S madness at all.

Regarding Brexit - 'it's time to cast caution to the wind'. I think the City, The treasury and the CBI have a different point of view!

'The fire brigade must be reminded that their job is fighting fires' - This is extremely insulting to the vast majority of fire fighters and other personnel. There are a few examples of isolated incidents which have put them in a bad light.

' The Armed Forces should be told they will be judged on their ability to defend us against our enemies, not on how many sexual and ethnic minorities they employ.' Again, massively insulting to 99.9% of the forces.

'We've had to put up with decades of being patronised by the smug, self-appointed metropolitan elite and betrayed by an arrogant, self-serving political class' erm....they've just been voted back into power virtually by a Landslide.

Jesus people, see past his contradictory cobblers, for gawds sake.
If ZM doesnt like it then it's got to be good.
How did I just know Zac m would disagree with it?

Because it’s Zac m and he hasn’t actually listened and taken in what people have been saying to him for years. Well with the exception of the people that agree with him that is.

But ha ho generally the people that will agree with Littlejohn are people who voted leave and those that don’t remainers.

So I expect the for and against to be split along those lines.
zacs, perhaps he means the Metropolitan London elite,
as London by a majority voted to remain in the EU and it votes Labour mostly, don't know why but it does.
Well you have got one on haven't you ZM.

LJ writes in a slightly humorous and exaggerated fashion usually to wind up the Metropolitan liberal elites such as yourself.

Looks like he has achieved his aim

Go Littlejohn!
Wow. I'm a member of the metropolitain Liberal elite.

If you're all happy to accept his lies and putting down of the armed forces, teachers and emergency services, then shame on you!

His diatribe is like a collection of typical DM headlines rolled into one hideous melange of Middle Englandish unfounded, idealistic c r a p designed to stir the ignorant masses.

Littlejohn's supporters tipify some lines from a Kaiser Cheifs song which goes:
We are the angry mob
We read the papers every day
We like who we like
We hate who we hate
But we're also easily swayed
Ohh how he rattles the cages of the self appointed arbiters of right and wrong.....you know the ones with no discernible self awareness mode. He uses the medium that the Great British public is very au fait with, having had generations of practice and fun with it. Lampoonary. He Lampoons, and mocks the prissy uptight luvvies and hand wringers and they do not like it up em. They know that the Brits "get it" although a majority of the populace, you know the quiet ones, are not able to articulate so effectively his sentiments they understand them all to well and that doesn't half enrage the woke and the quango mindset parasites. We now have a chance to let the World know exactly how we feel and Big Ben should once again be our voice of defiance. Just a thought, to counter the false arguments that the bells, the bells, {couldn't help it :))} are a deadly hazard to the poor down trodden workers.........Could we give em the day off or move them to the Commons bar for the duration of the chimes? Another "watch my lips" moment has arrived.
Do us all a favour ZM, change the record and when you get out of bed in the morning make sure you get out on the right side.
I just can't stay silent in the face of such utter utter rubbish, danny. I'm sorry but I'll comment when and where I see fit in the (probably vain) hope that someone may see thru this odious man.
or, as he suggested, provide them with suitable hearing protection. It is not prolonged, continuous loud noise.
There is only one spouting rubbish here and it aint LittleJohn.

Signed angry paper reading liking who I like hating who I hate easily swayed little Englander.
