Peter - // I thought the girl had married a meal ticket for life as she had tired of acting // Meghan Markle has been a major role player in a highly successful American drama series for seven seasons - I doubt she ever needs to work again - and that was before she met Harry. She may need many things from a husband, but a 'meal ticket' is not one of them.

I'd also never heard of her nor Suits but so what. The standard response on AB to keep in with the crowd is to say good luck to them, none of my business, I don't know them but in fact my true feelings about the matter are as Naomi said last night at 1020 ish. Harry particularly knew what would be expected of him when they married, I'm just surprised at how quickly Megan has managed to prise him away from it all.
Prudie perhaps H is unhappy in the role he was born into and the death of his mother would have had a huge effect on him and his view of those ‘ outside’ in Meghan he appears to found someone who will help him escape the shackles of the RF, she seems a very strong willed lady and personally I think he’s looking for a ‘ mother’ substitute and she fits the criteria
davebro Inherited wealth is a fact of life and seriously how can this change? It would have to change for everyone. If you found you had a lost Uncle who had left you an Estate in Scotland and £4million in the bank would you say 'no thanks folks I'm happy where I am the Government can have the lot'!?
I feel so sorry for Harry, well both of Diana's sons. vulnerable both targeted by strong women with agendas (yes even Kate,in my opinion, had her royal radar on at Uni). Prince Philip needs to take him to one side and educate him as to his duty to the UK. HRH the Queen has given up her life for her duty and even now, in her 90@s will not retire. On the financial front, he should be taken of the civil list, but Prince Charles seems to sub him from the Duchy and there's not much anyone can do about that as its a private business.

APG - inherited wealth you can't do much about although it strikes me that current billionaires like Bill Gates et al are doing much more with their money than simply passing it on to future generations of their own family. It's the inherent privileges that go with being born "royal" that I object to. I'm a republican & would gladly abolish the monarchy forthwith!
