Her Majesty would never say publicly that they would not support her grandson, once again the dear lady has shown why she’s a popular head of state

Frogmore cottage on crown land is for the royal team, with staff. It should be withdrawn from Harry & co, or else Megs will rent it out to USA hoi polloi
Don't agree Chill, if he wants to break away and change the face of the Monarchy as he has done, then YES he should pay his own security. I repeat, he can't have his cake and eat it !
An image of the Duke of Windsor comes to mind, sitting with a paper crown on his head, at some New York party years after he'd abdicated.
I hope Harry never comes to that.
That is about as close as it gets to hearing Her Majesty say ...."why don't you F(oreign) O(ffice)".
her Majesty wouldn't say that i'm sure..
The cost of the security is a piffling amount in comparison to the revenue, funds and charity cash Royal patronage will bring to a country, business and/or charity.
He’ll be inundated with requests and offers from companies who will benefit greatly from having association with him.
i hope he will still be involved in the Invictus games.
after all he started it and losing his patronage would be a blow.

Funny how the leftie luvvies never say that when it come to considering the Royal Family in relation to their role in the British economy.
This quote from the Queen - // She said she was "entirely supportive" of their desire for a new role but "would have preferred" them to remain full-time working royals. //

She can convey a serious amount of anger and disappointment is a few well-chosen words - Her Majesty remains Queen Of The Understatement, as always.
The likes of Goldman Sachs would pay him a fortune just to have his name on the letterhead.
It seems entirely reasonable to me.
Understandably regretful but anxious to look to the future and be accommodating.
Of course people will want to read all sorts of stuff into it as that is what keeps us all ticking over
A sad situation.
It’s very sad. I can imagine Meghan staying in Canada with Archie and not letting anyone see him again.
The more I read and hear about this the more sad I am for Harry.
Well it's given us a break from Bojo and Brexit.
Harry must be in turmoil.
I don't think Betty had any option - had she resisted then Meghan would have flooded the Canadian and US press (which the gutter UK tabloids would then feast on) with endless exposés (true or otherwise) about life at the Palace.

The saddest thing is she may well still do so in the future anyway.
Yes I can just imagine her doing that Clover.
Canary, I agree with you.
I reckon over the next couple of years, depending on how things go for or against them, there will be a flurry of items from a 'close friend' or a 'trusted source'

I think Harry has mental health issues (PTSD?) and Meghan has put her foot down to protect her husband's health.
Alba do you really think that Meghan is concerned about her husband's health?
I don't. I think Meghan is concerned with Meghan. Mental health issues or not, she didn't mind leaving him to face the music alone.
