I don't think any of us (except maybe Megan's Mum) can or should judge. My own parents were lovely but I know that's not always the case and no one should get a free pass simply on the basis of being "Mum" or "Dad"

I was quite shocked watching the programme to find about the money he has received from talking about his daughter and that he will continue to do so. He also admitted that Meghan has given him money in the past, I can't remember how much but it was a decent amount and it's possible he underestimated that as he seemed to get other facts wrong. He also admitted how he has lied when being interviewed and also to H&M. The bit that I found unnecessary was when he was talking about the parts that his daughter played as a prostitute and stripper when starting her acting career and showing photos of her in these parts. I did feel sorry for him once but now I can see why Meghan has cut him out of her life sad as it is.

In doing my best to bring up 4 children so that they have the confidence and life skills to get by in whatever path they choose, I do not expect any financial reward in return. Nor, I would guess, do most fathers. Thomas Markle, on the other hand, comes across as the type of dad who expects his successful daughter to bankroll him for the rest of his life. She isn't doing that so he resorts to dishing the dirt on her at every given opportunity, aided and abetted by his other daughter. Not only is he bankrupt in financial terms but also in parental skill. Meghan Markle is well rid, imho.

That's not true though. He was invited to the wedding and he was supposed to be walking her down the aisle. He fell ill - allegedly - days before the event and was unable to attend.
