My bad! As many a prominent person has been guilty of 'mis-speaking' I am guilty of 'mis-reading'. I had googled to see if there was any point in securing one of these commemorative coins but the article I was reading also mentioned those minted with the original leaving date of October on them, thereby making them an 'error' coin. Ergo, making them far more attractive than their face value. As it is, they will be worth just, er, 50p. So what's all the fuss about? :-/
