So much for Boris's empty promise to all those in the north of England who lent him their votes. It hasn't taken him long to renegue on this.

Hardly worth reading as whatever Boris did you would still put a negative spin on it.
The operative word here is could.Nothing has yet been decided, but , as usual, you have jumped the gun.
as Danny says the operative word is could, it's not definite.
poor diddly, 10 years of hard Labour to come, scanning the Grauniad for the slightest anti Tory story. You'll give yourself a seizure love!

The same facts and figures are on the BBC website.
wait and see, it's all any of us can do
One would have to wait and see. But a 'fair funding' review would surely prioritise areas of greatest need, i.e. "left-behind communities". And it would be a very strange thing, for a government hoping for more than one more term, to implement.

OG -precisely what this review is NOT doing.
Diddly, please wait and see what happens before you blow a gasket.
To be honest though, the whole nation will have achieved regained sovereignty under a Boris government, regardless what else occurs this term. Which is why it was imperative he got in anyway. If he doesn't balance the country's and citizen's other needs then he can be voted out next time.
Why on Earth do you keep reading the Guardian? Have a look at the Telegraph or the FT. Much more agreeable reading.
Nj, diddlydo, labours under the mistaken idea that the Guardian is an unbiased paper. Poor soul.
If the (projected) figures are incorrect as tabled then your favoured Newspapers will surely have the figures you like.
Newspapers tend to have a political alliance:

You can hardly blame anybody for favouring a paper which matches their own political views.

Never..... the Groan and the Beep Beep See spewing the same bile? Who'd a fort?

Is this the "review" which neither name but do skew to misrepresent the aims? "The review being the Adult social care relative needs formulas - LGA illustration (January 2020)"
This reference is only given, on the puerile site provided in the op, in a one word red lettered word "analysis". This is an analysis being commissioned by the Local Government Association and is not a Parliamentary process. Some of the things said in this analysis are...

" It does not signal any potential change of distribution of funding in the year 2020/21."

"it is an attempt to provide some information to our member councils that would help gauge the likely impact of the fair funding review on the relative distribution of adult social care funding."

"We are clear that the results of the review must be introduced alongside additional funding."

"Given the potential changes in funding for each individual council, the Government should publish official illustrations as soon as possible to enable meaningful financial planning."

"This analysis only looks at one segment of one of the parts of the fair funding review, so no conclusion can, or should, be drawn about the potential overall outcome of the review for any local authority."

Get the picture? The two left wing dog whistles have taken this analysis and given it their own liars spin before there are even any conclusions. We have had posts removed recently that were deemed not to be truthful by the ones who decide such things. If I was a sneak I would report this thread for promulgating lies and presenting them as "facts". But I'm not....so we will let the lies twist in the wind as they should.

I knew we'd get a 'Beep Beep' eventually.
diddlydo, a labour government would have ruined this country, especially under corbyn, did you not read who his friends are, his views on our military, immigration, royal family, his trump vitriol, he's supposed to be a statesman, and not a hard left commie mouth piece.

I have no idea why right-wingers are complaining about the right-wing BBC!

Lol. Now I see where you are coming from. Poor thing.
Question Author
Retrocop - surely we all know about the BBC allowing Boris to chicken out of an Andrew Neil interview? Or do you have a short memory? If the latter case, please seek help.
