The WHO wonks have placed London near the top of the list of places where a risk of outbreak is probable and likely to be very hard to contain if it arrives. We rather fancied a Chinese takeaway this weekend........but we are going to get it from Marks and Sparks.

This sounds facetious but its not . Every year our local Chinese restaurant owner goes back home to China in January for the Lunar New year, as do many others. How many will be bringing back the virus? I've heard its only really contagious, other than through intimate contact, when symptoms occur - but surely precautions should be taken?

I'm sure a vast majority of UK based Chinese folk have been in this country throughout this epidemic and are as unlikely to be infected as you or I. No need to start crossing the street to avoid them or boycotting your local takeaway.

Our local paper said these were in Milton Keynes, but taken to Newcastle. Can only wait and see, but it would never have occurred to me to avoid a Chinese takeaway.
