That doesn't follow. I think it's what PP calls a non-sequitur. The BBC are making a programme which they think will generate revenue. They are not campaigning for Greta's crusade, Extinction Rebellion or anyone else. So there's no hypocrisy.

There are many TV stations that commission documentaries on all sorts of subjects
Some good , some bad , depend on your personal opinions
Personally I think that I shouldn't have to pay a direct tax to watch programmes on the box
However that doesn't mean that the BBC should not make programmes on certain subjects
