I don't know who any of these people are, not something I watch or read but we seem to now have a situation where real life doesn't exist for many, all they care about is putting their lives 'out there'. If you read things like Mumsnet etc people don't seem able to make the tiniest decision without seeking the opinion's of others.
Sadly there has always been people who are horrible to others but social media gives them a much more powerful weapon. Parents allow their very young children to have smart phones then get hysterical about online bullying.

Very sad and tragic for all concerned but... She was gong to trial for assault by beating her boyfriend, which she denied, apparently not the first time it happened. The boyfriend was allegedly 'standing beside her' and supporting her. So how was it sent to the CPS if both the alleged assailant and the victim did not want to take further action? Makes no sense to me.
lots of battered wives withdraw their complaint only to get battered again and again
so yes the CPS were right to pursue this offence
domestic violence is domestic violence and needs to be prevented and stopped
victims are often coerced to withdraw their complaint both male and female
Am I Right ?
I'm Not Wrong !

APG, once a complaint has been made in a DV case (or even if no complaint is made but the police have other evidence) and the CPS are satisfied that it likely to result in conviction, they will press ahead irrespective of the views of the alleged victim in most cases.
This is largely because complainants are often persuaded to withdraw allegations or change their story, sometimes under pressure. It is a decision which is out of the complainant's hands once they have made a complaint.

Not sure when she she wrote this, but feeling like you're a burden to others must resonate with many people trying to reach out.
"I wanted to write something about mental health day last week but I was knee deep in work. And some days it's hard to write feelings of your not in the right place. The last few weeks I've been in a really weird place...I find it hard to talk about it..I guess it's anxiety and pressure of life...and when I actually reached out to someone they said I was draining. I feel like this is why some people keep their emotions to themselves. I certainly hate talking about my feelings. And being a burden is my biggest fear...I'm lucky I'm able to pick myself up when things feel ***. But what happens if someone can't. Be nice to people. You never know what's going. Ever."
Seems she couldn't pick herself up anymore :o(((

Thank you for the explanation Barmaid. That makes sense, I can never understand how someone can withdraw a complaint after having taken a beating by someone they love and who is supposed to love them.
This poor woman obviously had no true support network, a typical case of thousands of 'friends' but no real ones. Such a sad waste of a life.
