If they rush recruitment to that extent, no wonder a few weirdos and misfits slip through the net. Since some of the posts appear to have been aimed at Cummings, though, maybe not so surprising.
More worrying than giving people government McJobs, similar tactics are at play in the prison service. Posts were cut back so harshly that they cannot even operate a selection process at the moment; if you apply you are given a uniform and a start date. Gangs are sending new members to train as prison officers. Why shove your picnic up your backside when it can be delivered by uniformed courier?
The days of application firms, shortlisting, interview panels, checking references and backgrounds, working notice periods and induction seem to be gone, along with transparent recruitment. Now it is more about who you know and the contacts you have cultivated in darkened rooms. It might shake up the civil service, who had never even considered nepotism, 'friends and family' connections or club membership as recruiting tools, but its record of success is not filling me with confidence.

If one wants folk who think differently you get folk who think differently. Media stirring up trouble is just more thwarting activity. Just because an advisor believes or suggests something doesn't mean it's acted upon. His leaving makes a mockery of the whole aim of the activity. They now need an equally differently thinking person to fill the role.
Little doubt 'social media' caused career suicide in this case.
" Just discovering a substantial fraction of the genes would be momentous in itself but there is more. It is already the case that farmers use genomes to make predictions about cows’ properties and behaviour (‘genotype to phenotype’ predictions). It is already the case that rich people could use in vitro fertilisation to select the egg which they think will be most advantageous, because they can sequence genomes of multiple eggs and examine each one to look for problems then pick the one they prefer. Once we identify a substantial number of IQ genes, there is no obvious reason why rich people will not select the egg that has the highest prediction for IQ." --- from Cummings blog
TTT's very interesting Link a few days ago. seemed to provide a more detailed overview of Cummings, albeit, in my opinion, definitely slanted towards derogatory, and looking deeper into Cummings 237-page manifesto published in 2013 referred to in TTT's Link, this negative slant by the author Nicholas Watt current political editor of the BBC's Newsnight and piece of cut and paste to suit deceitful hack
" In the most controversial section of the manifesto, he wrote that discovering “genes responsible for general cognitive ability and specific abilities and disabilities” would “enable truly personalised education including early intervention for specific learning difficulties”. Cummings added: “When forced to confront such scientific developments, the education world and politicians are likely to handle them badly partly because there is such strong resistance across the political spectrum to accepting scientific evidence on genetics.”
has combined an experts opinion Cummings uses and then Cummings comment on it, to make it appear as all Cummings opinion
--- from Cummings manifesto
"According to Plomin, large-scale genome wide association studies (GWAS) are likely to discover some of the genes responsible for general cognitive ability (‘g’) and specific abilities and disabilities
(see Section 4 above). This would create a whole new field of study and enable truly personalised
education including early intervention for specific learning difficulties. When forced to confront such scientific developments, the education world and politicians are likely to handle them badly partly because there is such strong resistance across the political spectrum to accepting scientific evidence on genetics and partly because those who dominate debate have great, but greatly
misplaced, confidence in their abilities to understand the statistical methods needed to discuss genetics - methods often requiring skills beyond those of most social scientists, never mind politicians."
Nicholas Watt probably found Cummings manifesto "a tad impenetrable", as did I.( But the start is interesting and the genetic parts covered are frightening and is a topic that needs also needs far greater scrutiny by MSM.

I am NOT defending Cummings, he sounds like a technocracy advocate to me - NO thanks - but Sabisky appears to have some similar views to him, probably why he got the job.

Eugenics and contraception as a means of control or at least the idea of control have been around for yours. Control is now done by the benefits system to keep people down.
If there is an underclass in society then to a degree it is self imposed. We have a free education and healthcare system that although probably not now the envy of the world is at least better than paying for it or not being there at all.
You can lead a horse to water but you can’t force it to drink.
You can have an education system but you can’t force people to learn or become educated.
You can encourage people to be self reliant or you can make them dependant on the state. You can’t have it both ways.
