How did Greta get to Bristol?
Don't know, but TV has just said that she is arriving in an electric car - with a Police escort, all using petrol/diesel vehicles no doubt.
//she is arriving in an electric car //

conveniently and quietly ignoring the fact that the manufacturing carbon footprint of electric cars is bigger than an equivalent petrol vehicle, and the need to make the vehicles light demands the use of high performance materials which again.....
….and lets not even start on car traction batteries, requiring the mining of rare metals and the unbelievably toxic pollution this creates.
Next week China?
^ then India
Whirlwind tour?
Another day off school then.
and to think, they maybe future leaders in politics or industry and probably unions...glad i wont be around, up the chimney to add to my carbon foot print.

Hopefully all the coffin-dodgers will avoid the area.
coffin dodgers, who are they?
//Hopefully all the coffin-dodgers will avoid the area.//

Ohh I'm sure they will. The older wiser amongst us know that at the moment keeping away from huge crowds is indeed a diligent thing to do. Dopey kids on a pilgrimage wouldn't even think they were putting themselves at risk. I see that some countries have banned gatherings of more that a thousand people. Perhaps we should make it compulsory for the flakes and luvvies. Let em cough and sneeze all over each other. Bless You.

And the child slave labour that is synonymous with the mining of this metal.
Why does anyone think that people of all ages going on a march to highlight climate change are "snowflakes"? A great deal stronger than the climate-change deniers.
Snowflake is a ridiculous description. They are not snowflakes they are concerned and somewhat hysterical youngsters egged on by a vulnerable girl with mental health issues, used by her parents for their own advantage.
britain is doing it bit for climate change, those concerned youngsters
should take there protests to china india usa...
I liked the 24ct gold i-phone she read her speech from.
I'm surprised those public sector loafers, teachers, allowed kids to miss out on today's indoctrination. They'll be using Bat-Flu as an excuse to mutch off next.
// ... conveniently and quietly ignoring the fact that the manufacturing carbon footprint of electric cars is bigger than an equivalent petrol vehicle ... //

That's only true at start-up. Over the lifetime of an average car the electric car is still a better option.

Better still to use a bike or public transport, of course.

ok so how did she get to the UK?
//That's only true at start-up. Over the lifetime of an average car the electric car is still a better option./

Another sweeping statement based on nothing more than the writer's biased wish list of "benny fits". Modern internal combustion machines will last for decades with proper maintenance and are now extremely clean machines. Non of the electric vehicle manufacturers have yet produced a battery(the expensive bit) that will last, or even maintain efficiency, for anything like the same length of time.

More false facts hidden as scientific reasoning.
