As the article says, // Naomi [Seibt] argues that other factors, such as solar energy, play a role... A slew of peer-reviewed reports, from scientific bodies in the U.S. and elsewhere, have concluded that greenhouse gas emissions [due to human activity] are the dominant cause of warming since the mid-20th century.//
A dubious antidote, then -- pseudoscientific, politically-motivated, and deliberately designed to distort the facts.

@14.37 A lack of interest or understanding of any subject can become tedious. I find many laws tedious, I have very little interest apart from some very basic ones, the others are to complex for me to understand anyhow. As for climate change its not that difficult to see what we are doing wrong, and what effects its having.
/// why experts and politicians have it in their heads that they can somehow control the Earth's climate. I find it increasingly tedious.///
They closed the hole in the Ozone layer by banning CFCs.
The point is we are using up oxygen faster than the planet can produce it, so it is inevitable this will affect the climate, no matter what the 4Ds say.

How can the grasp of reality be called denial?
Fact: the Earth is still emerging from the last ice age.
You are in denial if you can't see that.
Fact: the Sun is the only force that drives the climate on this planet.
You are in denial if you can't see that, either.
People are showing how vulnerable they are to propaganda.

@16.14 Well, many along with Greta have been called hysterical teenagers by a well know and respected poster on here, and one poster pulled them to bits for damaging a little grass due to the demo in Bristol, a little grass seed will correct. What the posters are failing to see is the very long term damage the floods have done to farm land, and other businesses for many months to come. We will see how hysterical they get when the supermarket shelves are empty.
