Disgraceful that the government has decided only to publish weekly updates on the number of coronovirus cases. The public needs to know. Meanwhile, it would appear that Boris is "self-isolating" since the election.

didn't you see him on the news, he outlined the plans for the outbreak of the virus....
Constant negativity is so tiresome diddly - change the record.
he has been out and about if you actually watch the news.
Question Author
Emmie - yes, I heard him mumble/bumble his way through a few platitudes.
CatCryptics - there's nothing positive to say about the current government and its handling of Covid. The health experts say that the public needs to be informed but government says no. Shameful.
we must have been watching different news item. He was coherent as he usually is.. I followed him with no problem.
the government has ads out, and experts on hand, to explain what one needs to do, they i am sure will be in contact with the government on a regular basis.
I for one would like to know where the new cases are. I just would.
He spent some of a night shift at I think Kettering hospital last week. It was on our local news. Thats not self isolating!
Question Author
Ladybirder - my sentiments entirely, especially as it now seems that there are new cases with no connection to China, Italy etc etc
Yesterday, one of the official reasons I came across why info on the incidence and nature of covid19 cases is not being issued in full is "patient confidentiality". This is typical of the secretiveness which pervades everything in UK society.
the figures are in the public domain you can can check them as often as you like.
Question Author
Karl - indeed. Nobody is asking for the names of Covid victims so confidentiality shouldn't be an issue. However, I would like to know if someone in a street near me had contracted it.
I love my Queen, I respect a PM that’s doing a great job, so I love my country
*justsayin*
diddly - what would you do differently if you knew that someone in your district had contracted it?
Question Author
Refrain from using public transport or going to crowded places.
we still have to go to work, school get on public transport, there is no getting around that fact.
Diddlydo but isn’t that what Boris is asking people to do? Self isolate? If you feel under the weather , what your advocating is the whole of the UK to come to a standstill ?
Question Author
Emmie - do you go to work? Do you use London tubes or buses? Do you go to crowded supermarkets?
The public needs to know what, and for what purpose ?
The public already know there's a risk, what precautions they can take, and simply need to know the general trend so they know when it's over.
Criticism for criticism's sake ?
