Since joining the EU this country has contributed half a trillion pounds to the EU - and was a net contributor which means we've contributed far more than we've ever received. Just think what that money could have bought, diddly. Four billion is a drop in the ocean ... and money well-spent.

True, Douglas - but it strikes me as odd that diddly bemoans the fact that money used to uphold a democratic decision could have been better spent on improvements in this country, and yet has no problem with our money being spent on providing Spain with yet another of its splendid roads.
