all that shouting and screaming at close quarters must be a health hazard
Oh dear, what a pity, never mind.
It'll be 3 months before it's stopped being shown.
Wonder when Ed and the team will be announcing similarly?
"Get outta ma pub, and self isolate"
I weaned myself off Eastenders after about 3 episodes, Corrie after about 30 years and Emmerdale just after Ashley popped his clogs:-/ There will no doubt be many more productions affected by the virus. When you consider the amount of technical staff needed to produce what we view, it is inconceivable that some of them will not be stricken by Covid 19.
The problem also for things like EastEnders and Casualty is: how do you seal wirth the elephant in the room? You can't really have realisitc story lines that avoid the actual virus and you also can't really go over the top about it ehter as it's so many weeks behind.
I remembe when they did a "World Cup special" in 1998, timed to go out around the time of the final in Paris. Presumably there was some mad idea that England might get to the final, and half the cast decamped to Paris where they were there for the football, but yet not.
All very odd

Just about everything is on hold. There are a lots of feature film and satellite channel series filming in the UK now but it’s all on hold.

The industry will lose a HUGE amount of money but so will all the individuals who work on them. A large proportion are dailies or on short term contracts. They are all self employed so unlikely to get any compensation.
