The speed with which this virus in moving, and the scale of the responses prompted, is absolutely incredible. It's impossible to keep up. The world is now going to be on hold for months.
Thank goodness. That will take people off the streets in towns and cities as well. Also gyms, leisure cenres are to close. In fact anywhere where people go to socialise. Comes into force after they finish tonight.
Can't make something like this law in like the space of an hour. It's government instruction/advice, that will presumably be considered part of the emergency powers under the soon-to-be-passed legislation.
He should have done this sooner. By all accounts Londoners have been socialising and partying like there's no tomorrow and where has the virus spread particularly quickly - yes, London.
you might be right, diddlydo, but I wouldn't bet that everywhere outside London, the British have been abstemiously travelling only between home and church. I'm told some provincials like a drink too.
