These figures are next to useless, apart from the deaths. We are not testing anywhere near enough. 22,458 confirmed cases is 0.034% of the population.
Estimates are that between 2% and 5% of the population have it or have had it. Maybe a bit above 5% in London, and a bit below 2% in more rural and remote locations. Overall about 1 in 30, which is why so many of us on AB know someone who has probably had it (only "probably", because they haven't been tested).

Ellipsis, I know. Bobbi was saying it was nice to hear of people recovering; but that particular figure is very low, so we won't hear about many of them.
Wasn't someone guesstimating that half the population had had it? I haven't been keeping up, so I don't know if that's been debunked.
I know a couple of people who have definitely got it and are recovering. I don't know anyone who might have it, but a couple of asthmatics who are isolating themselves because they mustn't risk getting it at all. None of them are Londoners, but it's based on a really quite limited number of "friends".
